Race 1:
Albert Costa has been the most outstanding pilot in the first round of the World Series by Renault.
Injured and without having made any test in pretemporda, Catalan, who started from the 21st position,
was removed at the sixth position. The Spanish young gun suffered an "Aqua planning" and went to
the gravo with no possibility to restart the race. Albert was doing the same times of the head of the
race and with options to finish in 4th position.
In the first corners has come to improve nine positions and in the following laps, has been getting
rid of rivals such as Hartley. In fact, the pilot has many rivals in advance and he has not been brought
forward on any occasion.
The pilot builds miles and leaves with a very good feeling after advance 15 positions with respect to
its initial position.
He was happy and hoped to continue tomorrow in the same way. PDF is attached to the final classification.
Race 2:
Costa has left of Alcañizwith good feelings and demonstrating the incredible talent he has. The second
race has finished in fourth place after starting from twelfth position.
He came out and brought forward seven drivers, ranking fifth. In the following curves, Albert has
advanced to another pilot and has been for a few moments, in fourth place.
As he said, today was the second day of preseason for him. In this second race he has been able to
experience what it is output to the dry asphalt, which is a pit stop in the race, knowing the car, the
car's behavior in different circumstances, etc.
All this is done in the preseason but Albert, as has been injured, has had to learn very quickly and in
their own races. In fact, he reached the first round of the World Series by Renault without having made
kilometers and with a right hand injury on him. Despite that, Albert has struggled and managed to score
his first points championship. A milestone.
Although Albert has crossed the line in fifth place, then the pilot Jan Charouz was disqualified by the
scrutineers and, therefore, Albert finishes the first round of the World Series by Renault 2010 in 4rth
place (3rd rookies) and is situated seventh in the standings.
The next race will be held the weekend of April 20 to May 2 (Albert's birthday) at the Belgian circuit of
Spa Francorchamps, a favorite of the Spaniard.
